In late 2019, China was hit by Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). With the help of other countries in the world, China's anti-epidemic work has won a preliminary victory.

While the outbreak in China is basically under control, a great many of countries have been caught off guard by outbreaks in other countries that have made the world an epidemic zone. More than 100 countries have reported confirmed cases, bringing the total to more than 180,000. So far, the global outbreak is likely to be in its early stages, with countries such as Italy, South Korea, Iran and Spain reporting a dramatic increase in confirmed cases.
